This unicorn board game is a fun way for kids to practice place value, and spring is a great time to play! This simple, low prep activity is the perfect compliment to our popular Place Value Unit.
PREPPING THE ACTIVITY
To prep this activity, I printed the 3 pages on cardstock and cut out the unicorn cards with a paper cutter. Laminate for extra durability. Grab some dice and something to use for space markers, and you’re set. Super easy!
PLAYING THE GAME
This game can be played individually, in pairs, or in groups, making it great for both quick practice or center work! To play the game, roll one die and move the number of spaces rolled.
Each space has a number in standard form, expanded form, or word form. There is one unicorn card for each space on the game board. The numbers on the unicorn cards are in a different form than the numbers on the game board. Find the unicorn card that is the same value as the number you land on.
